My Top 3 Productivity Tips

As millennials, we are served a world that capitalizes on technology and social media. 
There are rather many perks to these advances; however, it has been very detrimental towards how we move through our day-to-day. We find ourselves scrolling through an infinite timeline full of tweets and images for hours and pay no heed to the things we should be prioritizing. I too fell a victim to these things but I was able to take myself out of the pit I fell in and wisely manage my time and became more productive. 
So to help you become more productive and less of a technology zombie, I put together a list of 
My Top 3 Productivity Tips that you can apply to your everyday life.


TIP I
The #1 reason why people aren't as productive is because they lack a management system. 
A mangement system is nothing affiliated to computers or anything software related. This system actually lies within yourself and how you manage your day. 

So my first tip is to Plan Your Day Ahead of Time by scheduling your day the night before or early in the morning before you start your day. Planning your day can consist of you writing down your hourly To-Do's or you can do what I do and create a general To-Do List. Writing down or digitally inputing important events, deadlines, and e.t.c into your calendar is also an essential component for this system. 
Personally, I love the traditional way of doing things so I manually write it all down in my book.

TIP II
My 2nd tip is very straight to the point — DITCH THE DEVICE.
I know how tempting it is to just pick up your phone and casually scroll through that timeline but you MUST be present in your work. Look, you knew you could have finished that assignment at 8pm but  you decide to start at 10:30pm knowing it was due 11:59pm but because you took hours immersed in your device you now have anxiety, rushing to complete it. This poor habit will not only become second-nature to you but it will slow you down in any field you undergo.

TIP III
Have you ever found yourself the evermore productive in the library than in your own room? Well if your like myself, you know that working on your bed can serve as a catalyst towards procrastination. For instance, doing homework on my bed would tempt me to want to sleep and push aside my priorities. 
So if this you at this very moment, get up off that tempurpedic mattress and go sit at that desk of yours and get in the bag. Begin to discipline yourself enough to create or find a work space good enough so that you are motivated to complete all tasks that you were handed.
