Dear Diary,

We often times hear people say, "oh, trust the process," or "just be patient."
I'd be lying through my teeth if I was to say that I am indeed a patient person because all throughout my life I had always been anxious-hearted. I always had that 'I want it now' mentality.

Believe me, I tried talking myself into patience. I even had mentors spew to me their words of wisdom about the greatest treasures of being patient and after all of that it never fully registered in this thick skull of mine.

Being patient steered me to immerse in stagnation and made me feel that I wasn't doing enough for those instant results that I hungered for.

So tell me? How does one become patient? How can I learn to authentically become patient and trust the process?

To be healed from this unwholesome quality, I refer back to the scripture as a remedy to purify this void.

Galatians 6:9
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

God promised me that if I do not give up that I 'will reap a harvest'; therefore, I will indeed keep the faith in this process alive because God is perfect and so is his timing.

With Love,
Liz G

Psalms 25:16
"Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted."

Have you ever been that friend walking with a group of people and find yourself to always be steps behind? When you're trying to voice yourself and they don't hear you loud enough so you have to repeat yourself more than once? Or are you that person who is a late bloomer and find themselves receiving later than everyone else?

This phase or experience in life is called isolation.

Isolation (/ˌīsəˈlāSH(ə)n/) - the state of one who is alone.

Well if you are that person I am here to tell you that you are far from alone and I am also here to be a bit in your face and tell you that it is okay!

I feel that everyone endured some form of isolation, I mean I have. But we have to realize that the perception of isolation all comes from perspective. If you shift your mindset from a depressive kind of loneliness to finding ways to improving and finding yourself than you'll understand the hidden treasure of isolation. Sometimes God wants to remove us from all distractions, end those toxic friendships/relationships, and take you away from that setting to redirect you for the greater good. So no you aren't alone, you are being redirected solely because God has something BETTER intended for you so therefore trust the process.

Late Bloomers
Being a late bloomer is also a form of isolation because out of everybody you are the only one who receives in a delayed manner. But I am also here to tell you my fellow late bloomer to trust the process. Being a late bloomer myself I faithfully lived by this quote, "If you peak too fast you'll go stale early." Let's look at it this way, legends become who they are through trusting the process and practicing and perfecting their craft. Now one-hit-wonders become who they are mostly out of luck and because they peaked too fast early on in their career they become a thing in the past. You see the difference? Legends trust the process and work their butt off, contrary to one-hit-wonders who wishes on a shooting star. So in close, "Never worry about the delay of your success compared to others, because the construction of a palace takes more time than an ordinary building."
