Roman 12:11-13 MSG
“Don’t burn out, keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Help needy Christians; be inventive in hospitality.”

Have you ever felt like your life was at a stand-still? That feeling where everyone in your life is surpassing you? Well you are not alone. Throughout the year of 2016 I have experienced many rock bottom moments. This year has taught me that I can not grow in comfort. Because I was so comfortable being comfortable I have abstained from growth. The #1 leading factor as to why many feel or become stagnant is because they choose to stay within the boundaries they set for themselves. But we have to understand that when God sees potential and seeks greater for his child he'll move you instead. God doesn't give you the option to remain stagnant. It's either you move or he'll move you. There are multiple times where my stubborn heart just wouldn't let go, but THE GAG IS the situation let go of me instead. Sometimes we are forced to leave those negative circumstances for the better good; you might not see the bigger picture now but in time you will.

How can I refrain from being stagnant?

As I previously stated, you have to realize that growth doesn't take place in the area of comfort. Scurrying away from uneasy circumstances validates that you can't face the intense feeling of rejection head on. You have to embrace the fact that if doors are closed, there is a door and opportunity specifically designed for you. God won't ever bless you with something that is meant for someone else.

Secondly, understand who you are and what distinguishes you from everyone else. Understand that you weren't created to be average nor were you created to be a carbon copy of someone else. Now this discovery of self doesn't take TIME but it takes EXPERIENCE. It is through experience that you learn more about yourself and your capabilities.

Lastly and most importantly, you are a product of who you surround yourself with. The Law of Attraction states that majority of what you attract comes from your mindset. For instance, if I am a party person I am only going to want to align myself with those kinds of people. For those who are in need of a better understanding, you can't move on from that toxic relationship or friendship unless you go home and change yourself. Once you have obtained a changed mindset, all that is around you will change accordingly. That's the power of manifestation for you; you attract all that your mindset holds. Personally, I aspire to be an eagle; therefore, I decided to fix my mindset and become a God-fearing woman. This new mindset allowed me to surround myself with people who are building their brand,s businesses, and many more. Once you walk in purpose, you'll later realize why pigeons never soar with the eagles.

Hence, remember to start with where you are, begin with what you have and begin marching forward.

Continue seeking that fire, that burning passion God has instilled in you. Your faith will definitely get tested and in the midst of it all just keep praying and remain strong-willed.
